MCDONALD’S is set to reveal the location of more restaurants opening for drive-thru and delivery orders today.

The new list will come on top of the 44 restaurants Maccies reopened last month.

McDonald’s fans in Peterborough queue for drive-thru orders last month

McDonald’s was flooded with orders on its first day back, with hungry customers seen queuing down the street to get their fast food fix.

Of its already reopened locations, 29 are open for drive-thru only, five are open for delivery only, and ten are open for both.

Today, June 2, McDonald’s will update customers on its next batch of restaurants that will open for orders.

The fast food chain plans on having all 924 drive-thru locations open for business by this Thursday, June 4.

HOAR understands that McDonald’s will also reopen more restaurants for delivery, with 51 locations open by the end of this week.

This will include 24 restaurants that are already open for drive-thru orders.

McDonald’s already has 15 restaurants offering delivery.

We’ll be updating this article later today when McDonald’s unveils its new list of reopened restaurants.

For its already reopened restaurants, McDonald’s has a slimmed down menu and reduced opening times of 11am to 10pm.

The reduced opening hours means there are no breakfast options currently available – but customers can still pick up fan favourites like Big Macs and McNuggets.

The reduced hours are due to having less staff working in kitchens at one time.

Crucially, dining areas of restaurants remain closed to the public.

McDonald’s is also asking customers to spend no more than £25 at both drive-thrus and when ordering for home delivery, to try and control high demand.

For delivery restaurants, you can only order food by Uber Eats.

However, you’ll need to remember to factor in your delivery fee, which will be calculated based on how far away you are from your nearest restaurant.

The delivery fee isn’t factored in to your £25 spend.

The fast food chain is also now allowing click and collect orders via the My McDonald’s app again when using its drive-thrus.

McDonald’s says this will help speed up orders after previously warning how their service will take longer than usual.

Furious McDonald’s fans have previously slammed the fast food chain for “hating the north” as the drive-thrus are all in the south.

McDonald’s explained to HOAR that the reason why all the locations are in the south is because of distribution and food safety.

A spokesperson said: “We’re taking our time to reopen in a way helps everyone stay safe including our suppliers.

“This means the first 44 pilot restaurants are close to one of our distribution centres as we prepare our supply chain for reopening.

“We are working hard to expand our restaurant reopenings to all drive-thrus across the UK and Ireland by early June.”

McDonald’s temporarily shut all 1,350 restaurants on March 23.
