POUNDLAND is well-known for offering cheap deals but it’s unfortunately not taking part in Black Friday this year.
The retailer told HOAR it’s not participating as it’s “Black Friday every day at Poundland with amazing value every day”.
Last year and the year before Poundland said it wasn’t taking part in the Black Friday discount weekend because of the same reason.
The retailer offers most of its products for £1, but has also launched pricier £2 and £5 ranges.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is an informal name given to a day each year when stores offer a range of highly-promoted sales.
It also sees many stores opening early.
It is one of the busiest days in the retail calendar and typically marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping period.
It began in the US, but in recent years has also become an annual fixture in the UK and elsewhere.
Black Friday falls on the Friday after the annual US holiday of Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of each November.
This means this year Black Friday falls on November 27.
What deals can you pick up at Poundland on Black Friday 2020?
Poundland isn’t participating in Black Friday this year, so there won’t be any specific deals available for this event but that doesn’t mean shoppers will miss out.
Recently, Poundland’s Halloween collection launched filled with costumes, face paint and decoration ideas.
It’s also started selling a new range with PEP&CO, which includes throws, ornaments, artificial plants and towels.
The retailer is already known for offering cheap deals on popular brands across items ranging from food to toys.
To find out what kind of deals it currently has, check out Poundland’s website.
Just be aware you can’t buy online though and the retailer is unlikely to have all of its products listed on its webite, so it’s worth popping by your local shop for the full range.
Poundland has roughly 850 stores across the UK. You can find your nearest one using its store locator tool.
