COULD social media save you some dosh?
We may have become used to big names like Mrs Hinch — but I’ve spotted up-and-coming stars with hacks to save you both time and money.
PENNE SAVINGS: TikTok star Maneet Kaur at @minsmeals has helped the nation to slash shopping bills.
For example she picks up a 500g pack of Tesco penne pasta for 53p, and a 500g pack of Hearty Food Co penne for 29p.
She then points out that the batch code on the packs are identical, showing it’s the same pasta in a different pack.
CHANGE IT UP: @Lucydashwood_ has been putting her pennies to work in the kitchen.
To remove burnt-on grease and food from a baking tray, she uses a 2p piece with a squirt of washing-up liquid.
Lucy recommends scratching the tray with the 2p in different directions, and rinsing the tray as you go.
She said she saved herself £38 by not having to buy a new baking tray.
FLOWER POWER: TikTokker @mama_mila has shared her tips on making reduced supermarket flowers look like they’ve come straight from the florist.
She recommends removing excess foliage and trimming the bottoms diagonally by 1cm.
Then, gently pull back the outside petals to reveal the rosebud in the middle.
SOUR SAVE: TikTok fanatic @lauracleanaholic has been cleaning her home with one household ingredient — white vinegar.
Laura claims deodorant marks on clothing can be removed by spraying the area with white vinegar before a machine wash.
She also uses it to descale her iron.
Pour a capful or two into your steam iron and leave for ten minutes before ironing.
A 750ml bottle of Stardrops White Vinegar Spray is £1.45 at onlinepoundstore.co.uk but 79p at B&M.
