PANICKING about the cost of a family Christmas?
Often it’s the kids’ wish list that can break your budget. But these supermarket bargains — which include savings on top toys such as Lego and Peppa Pig — can save the day.
Here I take you round the Big Four and tell you what to add to your basket, now.
TESCO: The supermarket’s half-price toy sale is now live, making it a great time to give Santa a headstart.
You can snap up everything from Lego to Peppa Pig for 50 per cent less.
My favourites include the Hot Wheels Double Loop Dash, down from £35 to £17.50, and the Harry Potter invisibility cloak, reduced from £30 to £15.
MORRISONS: Yet another unmissable toy sale with 50-per-cent discounts on popular picks, including Playmobil and Lego.
A four-pack of Avengers figures is £20, down from £40.
Shoppers can only get these bargains in store, though, until November 25.
SAINSBURY’S: You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to bagging bargain toys at the moment, with Sainsbury’s also offering some fantastic discounts.
Brands in the sale include Lego, Disney, Barbie, Frozen, Hot Wheels and Nerf.
This event is running in store (although there are a few deals of up to a third off online).
Offers are set to end on Wednesday — so you had better head down to your nearest store now.
ASDA: Not to be beaten in the battle of the bargains, Asda is also hosting a huge kids’ toy rollback.
As well as branded goodies, there are also fantastic toys from the store’s own range up for grabs.
My favourites include the Asda lorry ride-on and the Asda toy checkout, both down from £20 to £15.
