Lunch begins at 11:30am every day when breakfast menu finishes up.

And its good news for Wetherspoons lovers as the chain has been added to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Diners will be able to pick up a full English fry up for £1.75 instead of £3.49.

A burger meal with chips and a drink can be lapped up for just £2.50.

Or if you fancy fish and chips, plus a soft drink, this will come to £3.40 rather than £6.79.

These Wetherspoon prices apply on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme can also be used on top of existing offers, such as the Tuesday Steak Club deal.

This means if you dine in on Tuesdays in August, a 6-ounce sirloin steak and chips plus a soft drink will cost £4.23 instead of £8.45.

On other nights of the week, the same meal costs £10.60 – or £5.30 on Mondays and Tuesdays when Eat Out to Help Out is on.

Wetherspoon has confirmed all its food items and soft drinks are included, but not alcoholic beverages.

Prices will vary slightly depending on your location, although you’ll still get 50 per cent off the original cost up to a maximum of £10 per person.

Eat Out to Help Out sees diners get half price meals and non-alcoholic drinks, up to £10 a head, in restaurants, cafes and pubs throughout August.

It launches today and will run until August 31, with the discount applying on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme will continue through the month of August
