THIS freezing weather is snow joke.
Cold air from the Arctic is coming our way and is predicted to stick around for the next two weeks.
If you are still braving the cold to get out for a daily walk, you’ll need some protection from the great outdoors.
Brrr-illiant sales are still on, so get your orders in now.
Gloves: Keeping your hands toasty is a must.
My fingers are the first part of me to feel the chill.
Good options that won’t break the bank include Peter Storm Thinsulate double fleece gloves £5, down from £10 at millets.co.uk and Karrimor thermal gloves, £6.99 down from £13.99 at sportsdirect.com.
SAVING: Up to £7
Thermals: Adding a toasty thermal layer to your get-up can make all the difference – and saves you buying more jumpers or outerwear.
I love the Heatgen Plus thermal long-sleeve tops at marksandspencer.com.
They are really cosy and cost £15. But you can nab some real bargains at decathlon.co.uk, where a similar base-layer top costs from just £4.99.
Hats: If you’re in need of a toasty option, go to mountainwarehouse.com where there are some super warm bargains to be had in the sale.
My favourite is the Thinsulate fairisle women’s pom pom beanie, £9.99 down from £19.99.

Footwear: Walking boots can be pretty expensive and I wouldn’t blame anyone for not wanting to fork out a fortune on a pair of full-on hiking numbers.
Thankfully, walking trainers can work out cheaper and can be worn for other activities too, so you get more wear for your money.
I find those made by Regatta to be really good as they’re comfortable and waterproof.
Outdoorlook.co.uk has a great sale on, with options such as the Regatta Edgepoint III waterproof walking shoes down from £60 to just £25.
SAVING: £35
