BORIS Johnson has blasted “dangerous” ravers for putting their own families at risk by going to huge illegal parties.

The PM’s spokesperson blasted selfish party-goers for ignoring the threat of coronavirus and continuing to break the law.

It comes after police reported busting dozens more raves over the weekend.

Cops broke up an illegal rave with 300 people in Huddersfield and 70 other parties in Birmingham despite a looming lockdown threat.

West Yorkshire Police said they turned off the music and seized the equipment – with locals breaking out into “applause”.

One party even had two marquees and a DJ as revellers partied in the street.

Heat cameras have shown how hundreds of ravers have been cramming into homes, gardens and warehouses as they blatently flout rules.

Tough new £10,000 fines for organisers come into force on Friday.

Even attending can see people slapped with a fine too – of at least £100 but it can go up to £3,200 for repeat offences.

Police broke up more than 70 illegal parties in Birmingham on Saturday night – despite warnings of rising cases in the city.

Mr Johnson’s spokesperson said today that “most people” are following the rules and doing their bit to control the virus.

He added: “We must remain focused, we cant be complacent.

“A small proportion of people who aren’t are not only endangering themselves but their close family and friends.

“These gatherings are dangerous and hose who organise them are showing a blatant disregard for the safety of others.

We would encourage anyone thinking of going to one, not to.”

Nightclubs are still not yet open in the UK after they have been linked to several outbreaks in other countries.

No10 said today it would keep them under continuous review but couldn;t say when they would open again.

A spokesperson said: “We will allow for easements based on sci evidence and based on the transmission of the virus.

We have been clear of the areas that are more high risk than others.”
