BORIS Johnson has just 10 days before it will be clear whether he will win or lose the election, Tories fear.
Ahead of a crunch week for the PM as he faces off against Jeremy Corbyn in the pair’s first TV debate on Tuesday, everything is still to play for.
While Labour has been weakened by offensive comments being revealed from many of their candidates, the PM was attacked over his response to the floods which have destroyed parts of Yorkshire.
One senior Tory told the Sunday Times: “Within 10 days we will know if we are on course to win or if its going wrong like last time.”
Another said: “Manifesto week was where it went wrong last time.”
But Tory campaign chief Issac Levido said this week: “We need to remember that we are in a worse position than we were at this stage of the campaign in 2017.”

The Tories soared ahead in the polls under Theresa May in the 2017 poll, but a bad campaign and unpopular social care promises saw their chances of a majority go off the rails.
Labour will launch their manifesto on Thursday, Mr Corbyn said today. It’s not clear yet when the Tory one will come out.
Postal votes will start going out from November 26, next week.
The Tories are still ahead in the polls this time, with a clear 17 point lead over Labour.
The Brexit Party has squeezed its support in the polls, and more so since Nigel Farage announced he wouldn’t stand candidates in Tory areas last week.
But there’s still huge fears he will split the Leave vote in Labour target seats Boris needs to win.
On Tuesday night Boris will go up against Corbyn in an ITV one-on-one debate, hosted by Julie Etchingham.
One candidate will be asked a question, the other will then get a chance to reply, and then both men will debate each other.
The first 30 minutes will be on Brexit, and the second half will cover domestic issues.
