BORIS Johnson won’t be able to get a majority unless he delivers Brexit by October 31, a Tory poll has shown.

A ComRes survey shown at last week’s Tory conference revealed that Westminster would have another hung Parliament if there was a third delay to our EU exit.

Boris would be short of a majority if he delays Brexit

The Daily Telegraph reported that the Tories would be 14 short of a majority in that case, leaving Westminster in further chaos.

But leaving with a deal on October 31 would give the PM a 118-seat majority.

No Deal would result in a 114-seat majority, the poll showed.

The news comes as Boris Johnson and Irish PM Leo Varadkar raised hopes of a deal after their two and a half-hour long chat yesterday.

The pair said their talks had been positive and constructive.

Today the EU said it would “intensify” talks, which would carry on throughout the weekend.

The PM is in a race against time to seal a deal before he has promised to leave the bloc on 31 October.

And now he’s trying to get the outline of an agreement done before a crunch EU summit next week with other European leaders.

Next Saturday MPs will gather in Parliament for a historic Saturday session.

They could be asked to approve a deal that Boris brings back from Brussels – or have to face the fallout if the PM announces we are leaving without an agreement.

If Boris fails then he will have to find a way around the Benn Act – which dictates he has to ask for an extension to Article 50 if there’s not a deal by October 19.

However, the PM has insisted he will take us out without an agreement no matter what happens.
