MPs are tonight set to finally vote for a general election, after Labour u-turned and backed a Christmas poll.
Today Boris Johnson is attempting a different method to try and get the right numbers – a bill which only needs half of MPs.
Labour, the Lib Dems and SNP all support another poll, but are currently scrapping over the best date to have it on.
