BRITS could get Covid boosters in the post, the former vaccines czar predicted last night.

Dame Kate Bingham told The Times CEO Summit yesterday that she hoped revolutionary tech would see vaccine patches, pills and nasal sprays making it far easier and quicker to stay protected.

At the moment vaccinations are given by health professionals in the form of two jabs.

This weekend, ā€œGrab a Jabā€ walk-in vaccine clinics will be held in parks and sports stadiums across England.

Venues include Watfordā€™s Vicarage Road, Arsenalā€™s Emirates Stadium, Edgbaston cricket ground and the home of Newcastle Eagles basketball team.

Buses will also tour the UK offering jabs without an appointment to anyone over 18.

Speaking at The Times CEO Summit yesterday, she said: “Ideally, you can receive your vaccine in the post as a patch or a pill or a spray, and that’s you done.”

But she admitted that she and the Government hadn’t done enough to make sure that jabs were distributed around the world, saying: “it should have been done better”.

NHS boss Sir Simon Stevens said: ā€œWeā€™re in a race to the finish line.ā€
