With Lockdown II looming, here’s our list of the things not to forget before the world goes into shutdown.
From finishing your tattoo to getting the Christmas shopping sorted, it’s your last chance to tick these things off of your to-do list.
See your family
Wednesday is your last chance to see your mum, dad and grandparents until December 2 at the earliest, so do it while you still can.
Have a drink
Remember how much we all missed a pint poured from a bar tap during lockdown?
Under the new rules pubs cannot sell takeaway booze but they can sell take-out food, so last orders is Wednesday.
Book a table for dinner
Wednesday night is your last chance to enjoy a meal out – its home-cooking and takeaways from here on in.
Depending on what tier you’re in, get six mates together – it might be the last time you can get together until Christmas.
Get your tattoo finished
Tattoo parlours will be among the list of shops to close.
You don’t want to spend a month of lockdown looking at a half-finished masterpiece.
Play bingo
Boris’s Den – Number 10 – has decided all bingo halls will shut until at least December 2, so you only have ‘on-its-own number three’ days left to win a full house with your pals.
Get Zoom ready
There’s no need to embrace unwashed hair and tracky bottoms – not yet, anyway.
Tanning shops and nail bars don’t close their doors until Thursday so there’s some time to make yourself beautiful.
Do your Christmas shopping
Okay, so you can buy online, but it is not the same as proper Christmas shopping – and the stores and shops will be so grateful for your business.
Buy your Christmas cards
Unless you want to be swapping the same supermarket Christmas cards with everyone in your address book, buy something a little more adventurous while you still can.
Get your hair cut and coloured
Remember how bad your hair looked by July this year? We do too.
PM Boris Johnson says this latest lockdown will last just a month but it could be longer and you don’t want to go back to clippers and YouTube haircut tutorials.
Buy a poppy
Poppies currently are on-sale in 12,000 shops until Thursday.
Make sure you buy one to help the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Or make a donation online.
Order your favourite newspaper
Place an order with your newsagent to have HOAR delivered free to your home during lockdown.
But whatever you do…
DON’T panic buy toilet roll. That’s just embarrassing.
