JEREMY Corbyn fell into the lap of an online prankster last night when he retweeted a raunchy meme showing a couple indulging in a kinky bondage session.
Realising the error of his ways, the Labour leaders retweet was swiftly deleted but not before it was screen grabbed.
It is not clear what Corbyn was thinking when at 11.54pm last night, he decided a retweet containing a photograph of the kinky couple.
That tweet itself was responding to one by probing journalist Louix Theroux in which the TV documentary maker was reminding his 2.1million followers there was only 48 hours to register to vote, saying get on it, people!
Perhaps misreading Theroux call for people to “get on it” as get it on, one Twitter user offered some shrewd social media advice.
They suggested: Register to vote with memes Louis, it sends the message.
And the proposed meme was two images of a couple getting it on, with the words: Honey tie me up and do whatever you want.
Honey??
So effective was this advice, it would seem that Jeremy Corbyn got on board until a sudden u-turn was performed and the retweet deleted.
One baffled Twitter user asked: Um. Not sure how I feel about Corbyn retweeting what he just retweeted.
But another was more positive, saying: I cant believe Corbyn retweeted this. What a boss.
But whatever Corbyns thinking was behind the red-hot, late night retweet, at least it has drawn attention to the deadline to register to vote which is 11.59pm on Tuesday November 26.
If you want to apply to vote by post in England, Scotland or Wales you need to register before 5pm on Tuesday November 26.
If someone is applying to register to vote and wishes to vote by post at the same time, then both applications need to be in by 5pm on Tuesday November 26, not midnight.
