STAFF at high street bank Lloyds have been told to work from home until next spring at least.

Lloyds said in a statement the decision had been made “in line with government guidance”.

Lloyds Bank has told staff to work from home until next spring

The banking group employs 65,000 workers.

And it announced last month it was cutting 865 of its jobs as part of plans to restructure the business.

The majority of its staff already work from home at the moment.

But some are still attending in person at the bank’s high street branches.

A spokesman said: “In line with guidance from the UK and national governments — and given the majority of our colleagues are working from home — we have asked them to continue to do so until at least spring.”
