NAIL bars, tattoo parlours, tanning studios and more will open today in England for the first time in England in nearly four months.

People will finally be able to book in for a manicure, tan or massage as thousands more businesses open their doors across the nation.

Salons will need to keep their customers apart and keep everything super clean

The full list of businesses that can open from today are:

  • Beauty salons
  • Tattoo studios
  • Piercing studios
  • Tanning salons
  • Massage parlours
  • Nail salons

However, there are likely to be several strict new rules in place which you should abide by when you go.

Businesses will look different when they reopen though, with firms told to meet Covid-19 secure guidelines, such as limiting customer numbers and ensuring people can safely social distance.  You should:

  • Book before you go
  • Stay apart from other customers
  • Wear a mask or other PPE if you are told to
  • Leave your contact details to be tracked if there’s an outbreak at the venue
  • Expect to be banned from taking food or drink inside

And people should be aware that face-to-face treatments such as facials, eyebrow threading, and dermarolling are still off the cards.

Beard trims, though, are allowed, as that can be done from the side.

Outdoor pools, Outdoor performances for theatre, opera, dance and music, along with grassroots sports, returned in England last Saturday in some of the last easing of the lockdown.

Indoor gyms, indoor pools and other leisure facilities are set to return from July 25, in news welcomed by fitness fantatics.

Strict new cleaning regimes will be in place at all venues to make it as safe as possible

But there are still several types of venue that cannot open again just yet.

  • Indoor theatres
  • Nightclubs
  • Casinos 
  • Indoor play areas including soft-play 
  • Bowling alleys
  • Exhibition or Conference Centres – where they are to be used for exhibitions or conferences, other than for those who work for that venue.

Gyms will reopen from July 25
