NICOLA Sturgeon will tonight be grilled by Andrew Neil on her plot to force Labour into second Scottish independence referendum.

The Scottish National Party leader will face tough questions on Jeremy Corbyn, Brexit, and her governments record in Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon will be grilled by Andrew Neil.

Shell be interviewed by the broadcasting behemoth tonight at 19:30 on BBC One.

The First Minister will be pressed on her plot for power with Labour, in what Boris Johnson has already dubbed a coalition of chaos.

She has vowed to never, ever put Boris Johnson into Downing Street, and sparked fears after admitting being open to a less formal arrangement with Labour.

Ms Sturgeon has previously warned in a hung parliament, Scotland would make have “maximum influence.”

She said: My position, and the one I would expect Labour to respect if they wanted SNP support, is the question of if there is an independence referendum and the time of that is down to the Scottish Parliament to decide, not Westminster.

“That would be a pretty good outcome I think in terms of making sure Scotland’s voice is heard.”

She has also made clear Britains nuclear deterrent would be for the chop if the SNP get Mr Corbyn into Number 10.

The SNP leader explained: “I have a moral objection to weapons of mass destruction.

I wouldn’t be prepared to press a nuclear button that would kill potentially millions, tens of millions, of people.

“But there’s also the opportunity costs of Trident – the billions, tens of billions, that are required to renew Trident in my view are better spent on stronger, conventional defence that is more effective to protect our country but also hospitals and schools and better social security provision.

She is the first of the leaders to face the hosts legendarily forensic questioning, with Mr Corbyn running the gauntlet on Tuesday.
