BREXIT BASH

Mr Farage wants the shindig to take place under the watchful eye of Winston Churchills statue and celebrations will peak at 11pm when Big Ben bongs to mark our divorce from Brussels.

Brexit Party chair Richard Tice and Mr Farage are currently applying for permission for the event to the Greater London Assembly (GLA), The Telegraph reports.

It is expected that around 5,000 to 10,000 Leave supporters will make their way to Westminster for the Brexit party.

There will be a series of key speakers, including Mr Farage, and Boris Johnson will also be invited to join in.

Mr Farage said: Jan 31 is a moment to celebrate, when the Establishment have been beaten by the people.

“We will invite people from all parties, business figures – they will be asked to join the celebration.

There will be a few short speeches but they won’t be very political.

“It will be celebratory. There will be music and singing. It will be a good-natured, upbeat, optimistic genuine celebration with no direct political edge whatsoever.”

Attendees to the bash will be expected to pay a small ticket price but organisers are also looking for donors to help fund the event.

Mr Tice said that he had already received very enthusiastic responses from a number of donors.

The GLA will consider the party application this week.
