Long-Bailey called Kier Starmer ‘part of the establishment’

The outburst attempted to overshadow Sir Keir an MP in a Remain London seat as he formally launched his bid for the party crown in Manchester. Ms Long-Bailey said:

Its important to note I do come from a Leave constituency.

Im not from London and Ive grown up seeing and being quite angry about the shift of power and wealth to the centre of London and Westminster.

“Its important to have a politician that doesnt represent the political establishment now.

Sir Keir attacked Boris Johnson as a man of no principles, no moral compass, who will go anywhere to stay in power.

Sir Keir is 4/11 with Betfair Exchange to win, with Ms Long-Bailey at 5/1.

Meanwhile, Tory MP Andrew Bridgen said Len McCluskey holds a win-win hand as his Unite union has given cash support to leading candidates.
