Theresa May has turned her talents to cooking after stepping down as PM and has 150 cookbooks

FORMER Prime Minister Theresa May has been using her free time learning to cook a new meal every week.

The ex-PM who stood down last year after failing to get her Brexit deal done admitted she had more time on her hands and was trying to master new culinary skills.

She joked at a private event at theWorld Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland said: I have more time on my hands these days.

The Maidenhead MP added: I want to spend more time with my friends and family and Im learning to cook one new recipe every week.

Mrs May previous told of her love of cooking saying: I enjoy cooking, which has a benefit, you get to eat it as well as make it.

I have over 150 cookbooks. I spend a lot of time looking at cookbooks.

She also admitted that she found the Queen the most impressive person she encountered during her premiership.

She added: She has lived through so much. Tremendous sense of duty. Always putting country and people first.
