The Unite boss was seen leaving The Ivy in London on Tuesday
Len has continued toback Corbyn who will stand down in three months after a leadership contest.

Despite it being less than five days after the defeat in the polls staff from the Union, which backed Labours hard left plans were said to have ordered a bottle of fizz, with Len toasting the party.

One diner told HOAR: Len was drinking champagne and his group shared a toast, they looked very happy with themselves.

He was sat with his group right down the end of the restaurant, he was very clever.

It annoyed me so much, it wound me up, a socialist sitting in the corner drinking champagne in the Ivy, I mean you cant make it up.

They were raising glasses, with one bottle of champagne on the table immediately after they arrived.

It was a table of six, they arrived at around 2.30pm and started cracking on, they were celebrating.

Its the last person you expect to see in the Ivy. He is the leader of the union, maybe Im being naive but I just thought after the election its the last person you expect.

When asked what the occasion was for champagne, Len said: Champagne – its our Christmas staff do.

He has continued to back Corbyn who will stand down in three months after a leadership contest.

He tweeted yesterday: Im proud to have stood shoulder to shoulder with @jeremycorbyn.

He should be allowed to stand aside with dignity, the same way he has led the Party with dignity over the last 4 years.
