EastEnders fans all said the same thing after a heartbreaking scene between Mick Carter and Janine Butcher last night.

Over the past few weeks things have been strained between the pair because the Queen Vic owner (Danny Dyer) has been keeping a secret on the BBC show.

EastEnders viewers all pointed out the same thing during Mick Carter and Janine Butcher’s emotional chat
Janine was left lost for words when Mick finally opened up to her about his past

Janine (Charlie Brooks) has been left feeling down in the dumps because any time she tries to get close to Mick, he pushes her away.

Last night they made an effort to spend some time together, and the barmaid decided to confront him about why doesn’t want to sleep with her.

Mick tried his best to reassure her that he does want her.

Janine told Mick: “If we cant be honest with each other why are we even trying? Why wont you sleep with me?”

The pub landlord decided to open up about the heartbreaking ordeal that he went through when he was a young boy.

Fighting back the tears, Mick said “Okay, when I was a kid, 12, I was sexually abused.

“I was sexually abused by a woman, and that woman was Frankie’s mum.”

A shocked Janine replied: “Frankie’s mum?!”

Mick continued: “Now some how I managed to lock this away in my brain and I don’t know how I did that, but when Frankie came into my life about two years ago, all this stuff came pouring out.

“I don’t know how to put it back, so the idea of having sex… I just can’t do it. I want to Janine, I do, maybe I’m just broken.”

Taking in everything that he said, Janine said: “Mick I’m sorry. I don’t know what to say.”

“You’ve not got to say anything. All it means is that maybe I can never be that way with you, or anyone ever again.

“So I totally understand if that is going to be a problem. Maybe we should just call it a day,” he said.

The emotional scenes got too much for many viewers at home and they rushed to Twitter to share their heartbreak.

One wrote: “Oh Mick,” with a broken heart and crying emoji.

Another said: “You’re so brave Well done Mick for opening up on your abuse #EastEnders.”

A third chimed in: “That took real courage for Mick to tell Janine.”

“Oh, God, tonight’s episode of #EastEnders hits home. I REALLY relate to Mick’s story,” another said.

A fourth added: “ok mick needs some time & done therapy but i wudnt give up on him! hes the best man in the world.”
