Kate Middleton and Prince William join Charles and Camilla for whistlestop tour of Leicestershire

KATE Middleton, Prince William have joined Prince Charles and Camilla this afternoon for a whistlestop tour of Leicestershire.

The royal quartet have today braved the rain and plunging temperatures to take on a number of engagements together.

The four of them arrived in slightly damp conditions to visit the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall

Kate wrapped up ready for the wintry weather as all four headed north for the day

It comes as the Queen was today pictured hours after her favourite grandson Peter Phillips confirmed his divorce from wife Autumn.

Her Majesty, wrapped up against the elements, was snapped putting on a brave faceover the newsas she boarded a train.

Charles, Camilla, William and Kate are all visiting the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Loughborough before they go their separate ways.

They will have a tour by commanding officer Captain Alison Hofman, and are set to visit some of the therapy areas, meet patients undergoing gym rehab sessions, and see the prosthetics workshop.

Run by the Ministry of Defence the centre at the Stanford Hall estate, began admitting patients in October 2018.

It provides rehab treatment to serving military who have suffered battlefield, neurological or other injuries and illnesses.

Charles and Camilla will then head to the bustling Leicester Market, and will meet stallholders and members of a local women’s charity.

Continuing with the busy day they will attend a performance by local schoolchildren to celebrate the diversity of the city and unveil a commemorative plaque in the new market square.

JAM-PACKED SCHEDULE

Then the Prince of Wales will go to a reception to launch the Midlands Chapter of The British Asian Trust charity.

The Duchess of Cornwall will then visit Leicester General Hospital to take part in the Royal Voluntary Service’s “Big Trolley Push”, as the prince visits the Soane Britain Workshop, Britain’s last rattan workshop.

Finally the royal couple will reunite and visit The Cambridge Satchel Company where they will tour the workshop.

Peter Phillips today issued an emotional statement, afterHOAR revealed he and wife Autumn would split.

The couple are in the process of divorcing, and Phillip will be the first of the Queen’s grandchildren to do so.

They wed at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2008, and decided to separate last year.

Kate donned a military inspired outfit, as she and her family toured a military facility today

She gave her husband a fond gaze as they made their way to the Loughborough centre

The power houses of the Royal Family met up today to do some joint work

Ready for the wind, the Duchess of Cambridge had her hair up for the blustery day
