IF you ask us, Kate Middleton can’t put a foot wrong when it comes to her royal wardrobe.

But despite stepping out in a flawless faux fur coat for the Royals’ Christmas service at Sandringham, the Duchess of Cambridge confessed to royal fans that she wasn’t so certain of her outfit choice.

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte wore co-ordinating outfits on Christmas Day

The mum-of-three opted for a long grey faux-fur lined coat by British designer Catherine Walker which she paired with a green suede hat and matching heels.

What’s more, Princess Charlotte – who attended the Christmas church service for the first time with her older brother Prince George – even matched with her mother in a emerald green coat.

But while fans couldn’t get even of the co-ordinating outfits, Kate admitted that she’d had second thoughts about her thick winter coat.

Royal fan Karen Anvil told the Metro: “Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot, she said ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this!’”

And considering how mild and sunny it was on Christmas Day, it’s a pretty easy fashion mistake to make.

Karen and her daughter Rachel, 19, make the yearly trip to Sandringham to greet the Royal Family as they arrive for their church service on Christmas Day.

She added: “I’m there talking to Charlotte about dolls and my daughter’s talking about fashion with Kate.

“It wasn’t fake it was a genuine discussion, it was about a minute, but it was tailored to my daughter, it was like speaking to a friend. They are totally different with the public.”

The little Princess also hilariously refused to hand over a bouquet of roses to a royal aide which she’d been given by a “star struck” fan.

Princess Charlotte was also treated to a specially made-doll from a member of the crowd and hugged a royal fanwho was waiting outside the church in a wheelchair.
