KATE Middleton opened up about parenting Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis to prove how much motherhood has taught her, an insider has claimed.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, recently appeared on Giovanna Fletcher‘s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast where she spoke openly about her experience of pregnancy, childbirth and adapting to motherhood in the public eye.

The Duchess opened up about mum guilt, hynobirthing and becoming a parent in the public eye during a very personal interview

Describing the Duchess’ most personal interview to date, a source told People magazine: “She is exposing herself.

“This is not a vanity exercise. This is her talking about her work and what she’s learned as a mother because of her work.”

The Duchess spoke candidly about her experience with severe morning sickness hyperemesis gravidarum and how this led her to try hynobirthing because she wanted to be “in control” again.

Kate explained: “I saw the power of it really, the meditation and the deep breathing and things like that – that they teach you in hypnobirthing – when I was really sick and actually I realised that this was something I could take control of, I suppose, during labour.”

What’s more, Kate also admitted she suffers from “mum guilt” as she struggles being a parent with her full-time royal role.

Podcast host Giovanna Fletcher – wife of popstar Tom Fletcher from McFly – described how every parent suffers from mum guilt if they are away from their children for work.

The Duchess replied:  “Yes absolutely and anyone who doesnt as a mother is actually lying!

“Yep all the time, yep and you know even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here George and Charlotte were like Mummy how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?

Kate says her children don’t always understand when she can’t drop them off at school

“But no its a constant challenge you hear it time and time again from mums, even mums who arent necessarily working and arent pulled in the directions of having to juggle work life and family life.”

The Duchess also recalled the “terrifying” experience of introducing her three children to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing just hours after giving birth.

Discussing Kate’s first experience at the exclusive hospital in 2013, Giovanna asked: “What was it like knowing that there are so many people outside after you’ve given birth and you’re in your little cocoon with your new family?”

Kate described standing on the Lindo Wing steps with her three children as ‘terrifying’

The Duchess replied: “Slightly terrifying, I’m not going to lie.

“Everyone has been so supportive and bothWilliamand I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about and we’re hugely grateful for the support the public has shown us.

“And actually for us to be able to share that joy and appreciation with the public, I felt was really important.”
