THE NAME of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Labrador has finally been revealed and it pays a sweet tribute to the couple’s early dating life.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a rescue black Labrador to their home in the summer of 2018, shortly after their wedding.

The name of Meghan and Harry’s Labrador has been revealed as ‘Pula’

But the name of the dog was kept a secret until now as it has been shared in the new royal biography Finding Freedom.

Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that the dog is called Pula.

Pula is the currency of Botswana where the couple reportedly had their third date, and also means “rain” in Setswana.

Rain is scarce in the dry country, and is considered to be very valuable, hence why the currency is named so.

Meghan is a known dog lover, but it was recently revealed that she would not be able to take back her beloved dog Bogart because he isn’t a fan of Harry, HOAR’s Dan Wootton reports.

The Duchess of Sussex left her beloved Bogart in Canada when she first moved to Britain.

Beagle Guy moved with her and royal watchers speculated Meghan, 38, would be reunited with rescue dog Bogart when the Duchess relocated to LA with Harry, 35, and their son Archie.

But a close associate revealed Meghan has decided that, for the sake of family harmony, Labrador-German shepherd cross Bogart is in the doghouse.

It was recently revealed that she would not be able to take back her beloved dog Bogart because he isn’t a fan of Harry

They said yesterday: “Meghan adored that dog but the decision not to take him back was based on Bogart’s relationship with Harry.

“Bogart never took to Harry when they spent time together in Canada.

“He didn’t like Harry. Meghan was very vocal about the fact it wouldn’t be fair to take him back full-time, given Bogart’s feelings for her husband.

“Of course, her staff in the UK who knew about her decision found her statement quite strange, but they accepted it at face value because Meghan knows her dogs.”
