A source told the Daily Mail: “Both women have a lot of admiration for each other and it was a very sweet, warm meeting.

“They are mutual fan girls!”

The pair reportedly chatted about six-month-old Archie, with Mrs Clinton, 72, telling Meghan, 38, about hew third-grandchild Jasper.

And while it’s the first time the pair have met in person, they have been linked in the past.

Meghan wrote to Hillary Clinton when she was just 12-years-old, calling out a cleaning product’s sexist ad.

It comes after the former Secretary of State said she wanted to hug the duchess over her “racist and sexist” treatment.

Mrs Clinton said it was “heartbreaking and wrong” that the former American actress had faced a backlash after her relationship with Prince Harry.

She continued: “I feel as a mother I just want to put my arms around her. Oh my God, I want to hug her!

“I want to tell her to hang in there, don’t let those bad guys get you down. Keep going, do what you think is right.

Donald Trump‘s 2016 presidential rival also said that Meghan has made her own way in the world.

CHRISTMAS BREAK

The meeting of the two women came as it was revealed Meghan and Harry would be taking a six week break from their duties.

The Sussexes have confirmedthey will spend Christmas with Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland.

Harry has always spent Christmas at the Queens Norfolk home, except for 2012when he was in Afghanistan and for the past two years he has been joined by Meghan.

But their decision will do little to heal the rifts that have opened up with the rest of theRoyal Family.

William and Kate will be at Sandringham withGeorge, six, Charlotte, four and Louis, one, with rumours the Sussexes and Cambridges have had their differences.

Harry also admitted he and William were on different paths.

Ex-US actress Meghan revealed in an ITV interview this year how theBritish stiff upper lip was damaging causing concern among royals.
