Meghan Markle is still waiting for British citizenship two years after she applied

Speaking to the Daily Mails Richard Eden, a friend of Meghan said: Meghan is not yet a British citizen.

It might seem extraordinary, given that she’s been married to the Queen’s grandson for 18 months, but she accepts that it’s a slow process.

Meghans son Archie holds dual citizenship as an American- British.

Despite her royal status, sources have told The Sunday Times that she is not being given special treatment or being fast-tracked, and it could take “several years” like everyone else.
