MEGHAN Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney has done an Instagram post about ‘being too scared to leave the house in months’ falling her alleged fall out with the duchess.
The Canadian stylist, 40, from Toronto, took a hiatus from social media after a racism row in June, but started to post again last week.
Jessica did a cryptic post last night which said: “A quiet woman is at peace and about to change everything” – but offered no further explanation.
And hours after, she shared a selfie on her Instagram Stories in her car which had the caption: “Was so scared to leave my house. But he got me to do it for the first time in months.”
The mum-of-three could have been referring to leaving the house after months in lockdown, but Jessica has not been seen in public in months after the alleged fall out.
Jessica made her first return to Instagram last Tuesday to celebrate her twin sons, Brian and John, turning 10, sharing a video of her husband Ben carrying a birthday cake into their garden.
In an emotional message, she wrote: “Happy 10th to my twin babies. My incredible family have had to witness mom in the worst state.
“These two boys have not left my side and gave me the will to live and work hard when everything fell apart. They deserve the best birthday. Only up from here.”
Fans were quick to welcome Jessica back to the social media platform after the scandal involving black influencer Sasha Exeter, who accused her of abusing her white privilege in an epic social media showdown.
One supporter wrote: “You made a bad judgement call. But you are human. We all make mistakes. Sadly yours cost you more than they cost most people in your industry.”
As reported, the argument initially exploded in June when Sasha shared a ‘call to action,’ asking fans to use their online profiles to promote the Black Lives Matter movement, to which Jessica took offense – feeling it was aimed directly at her.
The two women became embroiled in a nasty spat, with Sasha accusing Jessica of “threatening” her livelihood, which the stylist denied, after which she sent her a private message reading: “Liable suit, good luck [sic].”
Jessica apologised for her behavior amid an outcry as followers branded her a “bully” and a “racist”, but she was later dropped from bridal show ‘I Do, Redo’ with bosses at Canada’s CTV saying her comments clashed with their “commitment to diversity and equality.”
She later lost her job on ABC’s Good Morning America, along with a number of fashion deals, and despite a second apology sources claimed former royal Meghan was “mortified and heartbroken” as she chose to keep her distance.
Former actress Meghan, 39, met Jessica — married to former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney’s son Ben, 44 – in Toronto while filming US legal drama Suits but is said to have not been answering her calls since the racism row.
Jessica denies any falling out between her and Meghan, and responded to a comment made about the split on Instagram by saying “fake news”.
When they first met in 2011, the women quickly bonded over their shared love of yoga and fashion.
Jessica was a useful pal for the aspiring actress to have, as she is a high-profile stylist, influencer and a socialite in Canada.
The pair quickly became close and started taking holidays together, posting pictures of their trips on social media.
When Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan started dating and he visited her in Toronto, Jessica and Ben would host the couple at their family home.
As their relationship blossomed and became more public, Jessica also found herself in the spotlight.
Jessica was said to be Meghan’s “unofficial wedding planner”, jetting to London to finalise arrangements for the big day in 2018.
Both Jessica and Ben attended the wedding and all three of her children took part in the ceremony — Ivy, then four, was a bridesmaid and her then seven-year-old twins Brian and John were page boys.
In February last year she also attended Meghan’s baby shower in New York along with stars including tennis ace Serena Williams.
