MIKE Tindall has apparently let slip the nickname he has for his wife Zara and it’s very surprising.
The former rugby star appeared on the JoeRugby YouTube channel where he referred to the Queens granddaughter as Zoey.
Mike, 41, is currently in Japan alongside Zara for the final of the Rugby World Cup on Saturday and appeared on the video alongside James Haskell where host Alex Payne challenged them to a game of would you rather?
Addressing Mike, Alex asks: Would you rather marry a royal or win the world cup?
Taken aback, Mike responds: Well Ive done both technically… s***. Would it be my wife that Im marrying?
And letting Zaras nickname slip, Alex reiterates: Yeah would you rather marry Zoey or win the world cup?
Can we take Zoe out of it? Mike says, before answering, Obviously if its my wife then Im marrying my wife prompting plenty of awwws from the audience.
But this was not the only question that cropped up with Mike also revealing that he would rather leave the European Union when it comes to Brexit.
The question prompted a shocked reaction from audience members as the royal family is expected to remain impartial on political matters.
But Mike who is not technically a royal, as his wife has no title simply pretended to flip a coin before shouting leave prompting a mixed reaction from the audience.
The former rugby captain also stated that he would rather be a rock star than a film star and be covered in scales rather than hair as hes not used to brushing it.
Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, married to Mike in 2011 andthey have been dubbed the most “down to earth” royals in the family.
Speaking to Fabulous Digital, a source said of Zara: She and Mike relax in their dog-strewn home with a box set, a good curry and some lagers to assist the evening.
When they do enjoy a Saturday date night out in their local pubs in Gloucestershire, their two kids are watched over by Princess Anne, 69.
The source added: Mike andZaraare a real team, astrong family unit, genuinely still in love, they hold hands inpublic, and are the best company to be around.
