And GMB host Piers Morgan blasted the interview that saw the 59-year-old royal claim he had “no recollection” of Virginia Roberts, and did not notice young women at Epsteins home because staff members walk around all the time at Royal palaces.

Royal experts were dumbstruck by the royal’s decision to appear on the BBC to discuss his relationship withpaedophile billionaire pal Jeffrey Epstein, who died in jail in August.

And Morgan likewise slammed: “This wasn’t a train wreck, it was a multiple pile up of every steam engine on the planet.

“The problem is he kept mentioning he was a military hero and he doesn’t sweat.

“Pictures of sweating come out … All those little, tiny, tiny things.

“Stop treating us like complete idiots and there are endless pictures of him hugging blondes outside nightclubs.”

Discussing the interview this morning, he warned: “He’s taking us for mugs.”

DUKE OF HAZARD

It comes after Prince Andrew reportedly told the Queen the disastrous TV interview was a “great success”.

He was buoyant as he attended church with his mum despite the furious backlash which has put his official role under threat and plunged the Royal Family into its biggest crisis in years.

But Morgan was among those to criticise the interview – saying the royal shouldn’t have done the sit down.

He said: “This is why you shouldn’t have done it.

“(It was) embarrassing and toe curling. I don’t know if he is guilty. I don’t know that yet, maybe we’ll never find out.”

After the interview aired, viewers were especially angry over Prince Andrew’s lack of sympathy for the victims of Epstein, his former friend who died in August awaiting trial for sex trafficking.

He was also ridiculed over his repeated denials of any sexual relationship withthen 17-year-old Virginia Roberts.

She has since slammed his denials appalling.
