PIERS Morgan has insisted he is still friends with Donald Trump despite getting unfollowed on Twitter after telling him to “shut the f*** up”.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain star said he shared a joke with the US president days ago – when he roasted Prince Harry.
Speaking on Times Radio today, Piers denied they had fallen out, despite Trump unfollowing him on Twitter.
The President dumped Piers in April after he wrote a column that told him to “shut the f**k up” and called his coronavirus cure theories “bats**t crazy”.
Piers explained that the pair, who had been pals since the GMB host appeared on Donald’s show The Celebrity Apprentice in 2008, were still close.
He said he’d contacted Trump after he said of Meghan Markle: “I’m not a fan of hers and I would say this, and she probably has heard that, but I wish a lot of luck to Harry – he’s going to need it.”
The star, who is no fan of Meghan, said her wrote to the White House saying he loved the comment.
He said a White House staffer replied to tell him that the President has been left “roaring with laughter”.
He said: “We had a long exchange the other day. I sent an email to him and got a message back saying the President laughed out loud at your email.”
