PIERS Morgan said Meghan and Prince Harry turned Remembrance Sunday into a “PR stunt” saying, “Have they no shame?”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Los Angeles National Cemetery for Remembrance Sunday.
A series of pictures released by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle show them laying down wreaths and looking solemn in the cemetery.
ITV’s Chris Ship wrote on Twitter: “Prince Harry and Meghan have marked #RemembranceSunday by visiting the Los Angeles National Cemetery today. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to “personally recognise” the day in their own way.”
However, the photos infuriated Piers Morgan, who sniped: “My god, they’ve even turned Remembrance Sunday into another self-publicity stunt. Have they no shame?”
Later on, Chris ship reveals the pictures were released by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s office.
This further angered Piers, adding: “Just outrageous – treating Remembrance Sunday like a PR opportunity, & trying to steal headlines from the real royals doing their duty back home.”
Piers Morgan has been a long time critic of Harry and Meghan since they broke ties with the royal family and moved to LA to pursue a career in TV.
He even called them “deluded clowns” and urged The Queen to “strip them of their royal titles”.
Although the couple have kept their HRH titles, they are not allowed to use them because they no longer formally represent The Queen.
What’s more, Prince Harry was stripped of all his military titles as part of the deal – which Meghan allegedly told a friend was “so unnecessary”.
In return for not using their HRH, the couple are free to make any commercial deals they want – and signed a £112m deal with Netflix earlier this year.
He also blasted Harry for “poking his woke nose into the US election” after the Duke and Duchess told voters to “reject hate speech and online negativity” in a video for TIME.
