PRINCE Andrew High School is looking to change its name after furious parents and former students have called staff to cut ties with the royal over the Epstein scandal.

The Canadian school in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, was opened when the Duke of York, 59, was born in 1960.

Parents have called the headteacher to cut ties with the prince as students have been “troubled” by the allegations.

This week, the headmaster of the Prince Andrew High School in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is hosting a meeting to discuss changing its name as locals have complained.

Headmaster Brad McGowan told The Times: “What they’re saying is that there are allegations that involve people of the age that attend the school that it is troubling to them.”

The princeallegedly slept with Jeffrey Epstein’s 17-year-old sex slave Virginia Roberts Guiffre, an allegation which he strongly denies, branding the accusations “false” and “without foundation”.

NO REMORSE

But he has been widely criticised for failing to show remorse for his friendship with Epsteinor empathy for the paedo’s victims.

A number of other Canadian institutions will be moving to also distance themselves from the royal.

Lakefield College School, a private school in Canada which Andrew attended for six months as a teenager, have ended his role as honorary chairman of its foundation.

The SickKids Foundation, one of Toronto’s highly regarded charities, have ditched him as its royal patron.

And three directors of Canada’s Pitch@Palace initiative, which Andrew set up in 2014 have resigned.

Last week his beloved Golf Foundation Trust cut ties with him over the allegations.

Andrew was sacked by the Queen and stripped of his royal dutiesafter his horrendous interview with the BBC last month.

Andrew denied ever meeting Virginia and claimed he was at a Pizza Express in Woking on the night he was said to have done so.

He also dismissed her claims he sweated heavily as they danced at the club saying an overdose of adrenaline during the Falklands War left him with a medical condition that meant he could not sweat.

But ex-sex slave Ms Roberts, now 35, said: “He knows what happened, I know what happened and there’s only one of us telling the truth.

News of more charities and schools cutting ties with the prince, comes after military chiefs said they want Andrewto be stripped of honorary posts in the Armed Forces over the Epstein scandal.

The royal holds appointments including Colonel of the Grenadier Guards and Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.

Buckingham Palace said there was “no plan to resign his military appointments”.

Virginia claims she was introduced to Andrew through paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell
