Prince Harry has spoken for the first time about the growing rift between him and brother William

Harry revealed he doesn’t see Prince William as much as they used to and that they’re ‘certainly on different paths’

He added: As brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.

The Sun has told how the simmering tension began when William questioned the speed of Harry and Meghans engagement.

The rift has since widened creating a growing tension in the once rock-solid relationship.

Harry said the pressure on the royals means inevitably stuff happens.

He added: But look, were brothers, well always be brothers and were certainly on different paths at the moment.

“But Ill certainly always be there for him as I know hell always be there for me.

We dont see each other as much as we used to because were so busy.

But I love him dearly and the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.

Harry and Meghan were interviewed by ITVs Tom Bradby for a documentary about their recent ten-day tour of Africa with son Archie.

During Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, the Duke and Duchess both spoke of the difficulties of life in the spotlight.

Meghan told how she tried to adopt the Royal Familys stiff upper lip but found it really damaging.

The Duchess of Sussex said her attempt to ignore the media spotlight in the traditional royal manner only caused more unhappiness.

She said she had told Prince Harry it was the wrong approach to take.

The Duke of Sussex put it down to the pressure they face as royals, saying ‘inevitably stuff happens’

He added that ‘as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days’

Meghan added: You know, Ive said for a long time to H thats what I call him its not enough just to surf by something. Thats not the point of life.

Youve got to thrive, youve got to feel happy. And I think I really tried to adopt the British sensibility of a stiff upper lip.

Ive tried but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.

I never thought this would be easy. But I thought it would be fair and thats the part thats really hard to reconcile.

But I do just take each day as it comes.

Royal insiders expressed surprise at Meghans criticism of British aristocratic tradition.

One aide said: The Queens sense of duty and calm in a crisis is the very epitome of the stiff upper lip.

Meghan said she accepted that her behaviour would always be scrutinised but said the negative comments about her were unfair.

She said: If things are fair, that completely tracks with me. If I do something wrong Im the first one to go, Oh my gosh, Im so sorry. I will never do that.

But when people are saying things that are just untrue and theyre being told theyre untrue but theyre allowed to still say them, I dont know anybody in the world that would feel thats OK. Thats different than just scrutiny.

Meghan said her past 12 months had been tough and before her wedding she had no idea what she would face.

She added: When I first met my now husband my friends were really happy because I was so happy.

Also speaking on the new ITV documentary, Meghan Markle revealed that she tried to adopt the British ‘stiff upper lip’ – but said it was ‘really damaging’

Over the past year, the Duchess has faced scrutiny for refusing to divulge details of baby Archies birth, refurbishing Frogmore Cottage and travelling on private jets

But my British friends said to me Im sure hes great but you shouldnt do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life.

And I very naively, Im American and we dont have that there, said What are you talking about. That doesnt make sense! I didnt get it, so, yeah, its been complicated.

Meghan said she found the constant spotlight particularly tough when she was pregnant.

She added: I would say, any woman, especially when they are pregnant, youre really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging.

And then when you have a newborn, you know?

So, you add this on top of trying to be a new mom or a newlywed, its, well . . .

Meghan then told interviewer Mr Bradby: Thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if Im OK. The good thing is Ive got my baby and my husband and theyre the best.

The couple have been criticised for taking private jets while demanding others fly less to tackle the climate crisis.

They also came under fire for a taxpayer-funded 2.4million renovation of Frogmore Cottage, refusing to divulge details of Archies birth and keeping his christening private.

Harry accused parts of the media of bullying him likening it to his mother Princess Diana.

He said: Look, part of this job means putting on a brave face and turning a cheek to a lot of this stuff. “But again theres a lot of stuff that hurts, especially when the majority is untrue. You know I will not be bullied into playing a game that killed my mum.

Asked if he felt Meghan was under similar pressure to Diana, he replied: You slightly hit the nail on the head.

Everything she went through and that happened to her is incredibly raw, every single day and thats not me being paranoid.

Thats me just not wanting a repeat of the past.
