PRINCE William has said he is “worried” about “fragile” Prince Harry in the wake of an ITV documentary about him and Meghan Markle, a Palace source has told the BBC.

The Duke of Cambridge admits he hopes the couple “are alright”, according to the broadcaster.

In comments made after Sunday’s candid documentary, the BBC reported there was a view that the couple were “in a fragile place”.

However, the BBC did not clarify in what respect William was worried about his brother, or if “worried” indicated a show of support for the pressures he is under.

Buckingham Palace has so far declined to comment.

‘GOOD DAYS, BAD DAYS’

Harry and Meghan: An African Journey features interviews about their recent ten-day tour of Africa with baby Archie.

Speaking to journalist Tom Bradby, Harry appeared to admit the brothers had grown apart, saying: Were certainly on different paths.

Prince Harry, 35, admitted that the pressure on the royals means inevitably stuff happens.

But he insisted they were still close, saying: But look, were brothers, well always be brothers and were certainly on different paths at the moment.

“But Ill certainly always be there for him as I know hell always be there for me.

We dont see each other as much as we used to because were so busy.

But I love him dearly and the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.

It comes as the Queen and senior royals were left “very worried” about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the wake of the programme.

‘VERY SERIOUS’

Royal expert Phil Dampier said the Windsors are concerned about the direction the couple are taking.

“There’s no doubt the Queen and other royals are very worried about the direction Harry and Meghan are taking and it’s very serious,” he said.

During Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, the Duke and Duchess both spoke of the difficulties of life in the spotlight.

Prince Harry described his mental health and the way he deals with the pressures of his life as a matter of “constant management”.

The Duke of Sussex put it down to the pressure they face as royals, saying ‘inevitably stuff happens’

‘A BRAVE FACE’

He said: “I thought I was out of the woods and then suddenly it all came back, and this is something that I have to manage.

“Part of this job is putting on a brave face but, for me and my wife, there is a lot of stuff that hurts, especially when the majority of it is untrue.”

Meghan Markle told how she tried to adopt the Royal Familys stiff upper lip but found it really damaging.

The Duchess of Sussex said her attempt to ignore the media spotlight in the traditional royal manner only caused more unhappiness.

She said she had told Prince Harry it was the wrong approach to take.

Meghan added: You know, Ive said for a long time to H thats what I call him its not enough just to surf by something. Thats not the point of life.

Youve got to thrive, youve got to feel happy. And I think I really tried to adopt the British sensibility of a stiff upper lip.

Ive tried but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.

I never thought this would be easy. But I thought it would be fair and thats the part thats really hard to reconcile.

But I do just take each day as it comes.

Senior sources have also revealed that the Royal Household can appear “daunting”, but said that the Queen and Prince Charles had made a real effort to include Meghan.

One Palace figure told the Evening Standard: I know that the Prince of Wales has several times reached out to Meghan.

“They got on and share a love of music too. I know he invited her to a preview of an exhibition at the palace.

“The Queen has been a source of strength too and invited them both to Balmoral where family problems are usually aired.”

Meghan said she accepted that her behaviour would always be scrutinised but said the negative comments about her were unfair.

If things are fair, that completely tracks with me,” she said. “If I do something wrong Im the first one to go, Oh my gosh, Im so sorry. I will never do that.

But when people are saying things that are just untrue and theyre being told theyre untrue but theyre allowed to still say them, I dont know anybody in the world that would feel thats OK. Thats different than just scrutiny.

Meghan Markle said her past 12 months had been tough and before her wedding she had no idea what she would face.

She added: When I first met my now husband my friends were really happy because I was so happy.

Over the past year, Meghan Markle has faced scrutiny for refusing to divulge details of baby Archies birth, refurbishing Frogmore Cottage and travelling on private jets

But my British friends said to me Im sure hes great but you shouldnt do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life.

And I very naively, Im American and we dont have that there, said What are you talking about. That doesnt make sense! I didnt get it, so, yeah, its been complicated.

Meghan Markle said she found the constant spotlight particularly tough when she was pregnant.

She added: I would say, any woman, especially when they are pregnant, youre really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging.

And then when you have a newborn, you know?

So, you add this on top of trying to be a new mom or a newlywed, its, well . . .

DUCHESS REVEALS TABLOID WARNING

MEGHAN revealed she was warned against a relationship with Prince Harry because “the British tabloids will destroy your life”.

The Duchess of Sussextold how after the warning from a British friend, she had very naively replied: What are you talking about.

“That doesnt make any sense.”

Meghan was speaking during the couples recent tour of southern Africa.

It came as it was announced she was suing the Mail on Sunday over an allegation that it unlawfully published a private letter she sent to her estranged father, Thomas Markle.

At the same time Harry issued a ferocious attack on the British tabloids, accusing them of a ruthless campaign against Meghan. Harry also issued legal proceedings against the owners of the Sun and the Daily Mirror.

Meghan told the documentary: When I first met my now husband, my friends were really happy because I was so happy.

“But my British friends said to me: Im sure hes great. But you shouldnt do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life’.

“I never thought this would be easy but I thought it would be fair. Thats the part that’s really hard to reconcile.

“When people are saying things that are just untrue, I dont know anybody that would feel thats OK. You have no idea.”

Meghan Markle then told interviewer Mr Bradby: Thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if Im OK. The good thing is Ive got my baby and my husband and theyre the best.

The couple have been criticised for taking private jets while demanding others fly less to tackle the climate crisis.

They also came under fire for a taxpayer-funded 2.4million renovation of Frogmore Cottage, refusing to divulge details of Archies birth and keeping his christening private.

Harry accused parts of the media of bullying him likening it to his mother Princess Diana.

He said: Look, part of this job means putting on a brave face and turning a cheek to a lot of this stuff. “But again theres a lot of stuff that hurts, especially when the majority is untrue. You know I will not be bullied into playing a game that killed my mum.

Asked if he felt Meghan Markle was under similar pressure to Diana, he replied: You slightly hit the nail on the head.

Everything she went through and that happened to her is incredibly raw, every single day and thats not me being paranoid.

Thats me just not wanting a repeat of the past.
