He wanted two children, and he wanted a girl.

I knew Harry was a boy, and I didnt tell him.

Prince Harry arrived in the world on September 15, 1984, and Diana claimed that Charles reaction to him being a boy was less than thrilled.

Diana added: Mummy snapped his head off, saying: You should realise how lucky you are to have a child thats normal.

The couple divorced on August 1996 after getting married in 1981

Prince Charles also commented on how his youngest son had “even got red hair” – something which ran in Princess Diana’s side of the family.

Although Diana described to Andrew Morton that Prince Harry was a “miracle” and “a complete joy” who helped her see through “total darkness”, she revealed his birth marked the beginning of her marriage to Charles going “down the drain”.

The couple divorced on August 1996 and Diana received a settlement of 17million as well as 400,000 a year to live off.

Harry was very close to his mum and said he still feels a ‘festering wound’ from his loss

Prince Harry recently revealed in ITV documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, that he still feels the ‘festering wounds’ left by his mother’s death and that he is constantly reminded of her during royal tours.

Prince Harry, 35, opened up about how important Africa was to him as he came to terms with the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

Harry said: I think being part of this family, in this role, in this job, every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a click, every single time I see a flash it takes me straight back so in that respect its the worst reminder of her life as opposed to the best.
