PRINCESSES Beatrice and Eugenie are likely to take over Prince Harry and Meghan Markles royal roles following Megxit, a royal biographer has revealed.

Robert Lacey, who is the historical consultant for Netflix series The Crown, says that Prince Andrews daughters are likely candidates when it comes to filling the Sussexs shoes.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey says it’s “quite clear” that Beatrice and Eugenie will step into Harry and Meghan’s roles

Speaking to Hello! he said: It’s quite clear that one of the consequences is that Beatrice and Eugenie will now be brought forward if they’re willing to be brought forward.

If two go out, two have got to come in, and those two have got to be Beatrice and Eugenie.

Robert says that they are the obvious choice as its 15 years before the Cambridge children can step up adding that the sisters would be greatly welcomed.

He added: It’s ironic that Harry mentioned his cousins as models of how he wants to be.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have chosen to step down as royals

If Roberts prediction is correct, the roles would give both Beatrice and Eugenie some much needed positive exposure following the scandal surrounding their father the Duke of York.

The prince has faced growing criticism in recent months about his long friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, who killed himself in August while awaiting trial for sex-trafficking charges.

The Duke stepped down from royal duties in November after a widely-criticised interview about his private life with the BBC’s Newsnight.

A woman named Virginia Roberts alleges that she was forced by Epstein to have sex with Andrew after being introduced to him in 2001, when she was 17.

The prince denies wrongdoing.

The news comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step back from their senior roles within the Royal Family.

They will now be known as Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and “will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family”.
