Today is Meghan and Harry’s two year wedding anniversary – but members of the Firm haven’t wished them well on social media

Kate and William have continued to post today – but there were no anniversary wishes for their in-laws

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have continued their normal social media content today, including showing Kate’s visit to the V&A as restrictions in England ease.

And Prince Charles and Camilla have been chronicling their visit to Northern Ireland all day – without a word of praise for Harry and Meghan’s milestone.

The official Royal Family twitter account only made one tweet today – announcing that Princess Beatrice is expecting a baby in the autumn.

Just last month, The Queen and Prince Charles and Camilla publicly congratulated Kate and William for reaching their 10 year anniversary.

But Meghan and Harry did not make a public message to their in-laws – instead opting to send a “private” message, according to sources.

This comes after Princess Beatrice today revealed she is pregnant on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s anniversary – three years after they did the same at Eugenie’s wedding.

Royal expert and author Duncan Larcombe told HOAR the timing was “not a simple oversight”.

The royal, 32, wed multi-millionaire property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July last year.

Her Majesty, 95, who is mourning the death of Prince Philip, is said to be “delighted” at her granddaughter’s news.

The Queen currently has ten great-grandkids after Princess Eugenie gave birth to son August in February, followed by Zara Tindall’s son Lucas in March.

Beatrice’s baby will be her 12th – with Meghan Markle due to give birth to her and Prince Harry’s daughter in the summer.

A Buckingham Palace statement said today: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Meghan famously announced she was expecting baby Archie on the day of Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie’s, wedding.

According to royal sources, she told the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Eugenie and Jack before the big day on October 12, 2018.

Meghan’s declaration was said to have left Eugenie and Sarah Ferguson “furious” and Harry “embarrassed”.

Today’s announcement was no accident, according to an expert.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, Duncan Larcombewho penned Prince Harry: The Inside Story, said: “The fact it was Buckingham Palace that made the announcement proves this was not a simple oversight.

“A great deal of care is taken over the timings of major announcements such as Royal pregnancies, and it is extremely unlikely diary staff were unaware of the significance of the day for Harry and Meghan.

“You have a relatively large window of opportunity to announce a pregnancy, an anniversary date is set in stone.”
