THE Queen today cancelled her planned engagements as she continues to battle Covid.

Her Majesty, 95, is still experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms” after being diagnosed on Sunday.

A royal source said: “There are procedures in place but there’s been a wave at Windsor with a number of cases among household staff. The Queen has mild cold-like symptoms and plans to carry out light duties. She is determined to carry on.”

Her Majesty is expected to hold a telephone audience with the Prime Minister tomorrow.

Their meetings typically occur on Wednesdays and haven’t relented in the last few years despite COVID becoming a factor.

It’s believed the Queen was heard complaining about stiffness in her legs last week before she tested positive for COVID.

It was thought that the Queen’s positive COVID test wouldn’t hamper her she’d continue to conduct audiences this week, albeit virtual. The intention was also that she’d carry on light duties despite catching Covid.
