PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series has been branded “desperate”, leaving The Firm “nervous” about its contents.

The Duke and Duchess are reportedly filming an “at home with the Sussexes”-style docuseries for Netflix as part of their multi-million pound deal.

US reports claim the couple welcomed cameras into their £11million Montecito mansion to film candid, personal content, as the Kardashians did for their fly-on-the-wall show.

But the Queen’s former spokesman Dickie Arbiter told the MailOnline that the couple’s move appears to contradict the pair’s desire for privacy.

Arbiter told Palace Uncovered: “It smacks of desperation.

“It’s a bit rich, two people who left the UK, walked out of the Royal Family, because they wanted privacy, they’ve done nothing else but put themselves up-front and a week doesn’t go by when there isn’t some sort of statement coming out of their PR people.”

And pointing out the drama element to any successful reality series, columnist Richard Eden wrote: “The Kardashians do a reality series, the Sussexes do a docu-series.

“For any good fly-on-the-wall documentary, you need some tension, you need drama, otherwise it’s just boring.

“Netflix really do want bang for their buck. What we’re thinking now, will they be bringing Netflix with them for the Jubilee celebrations?”
