PRINCE Harry & William have ditched plans cut the guestlist for the unveiling of a Princess Diana statue next week amid Covid fears.

The guest list for the ceremony on what would have been their mother’s 60th birthday has now been slashed from more than 100 to just a handful of people.

But because Freedom Day has been delayed, the princes have hit the brakes on a large ceremony and will instead only be welcoming a few Spencer relatives, reports the Mail.

It comes after it was said Charles gave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a “substantial sum” during their transition from royal life in the US.

Harry claimed in March his family “cut him off” when he moved to the US – months before he and wife Meghan struck deals with Netflix and Spotify reportedly worth £89million.

It is unclear how much went to the Sussexes but a senior Clarence House spokesman said yesterday it was “substantial”, adding: “That funding ceased in the summer of last year. The couple are now financially independent.”
