THE Queen and Princess Anne are closer than ever and the monarch will go out of her way to give her a huge birthday bash for her 70th next year, it has been claimed.

Royal author Phil Dampier said to the Telegraph: Anne is much closer to the Queen than she used to be.

The Queen and only daughter Princess Anne are said to be closer than ever

She’s always been close to her father, because she’s very similar to him.

The royal expert also added that Her Majesty, 93, has been more reliant recently on her only daughter, 69, after Prince Andrew has come under fire for his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

He added: Unlike her younger brother, she’s extremely discreet and not likely to make any faux pas. She’s a safe pair of hands.

Phil said that no-nonsense Princess Anne has been able to successfully put any negative stories behind her, whereas with Prince Andrew it is too late for him to do the same.

Princess Anne turns 70 next year in August, and the royal commentator said that the Queen is likely to throw her a big birthday bash.

He said: Last time, she had to share with Prince Andrew, who is exactly 10 years younger, but this time the Queen will throw a party just in her daughter’s honour. Although Anne wouldn’t want it, her mother will insist.

Prince Andrews 60th birthday plans, due to take place in February next year, are said to have been shelved in place of a small family meal, in light of the recent scandals.
