The Queen has a subtle way of letting on she doesn’t agree with you, says a royal author

Author Karen Dolby who wrote Queen Elizabeth IIs Guide to Life, told Fabulous Digital: I think that she tends to avoid confrontation and she probably maintains a polite dignity whatever.

I heard that she wont necessarily openly disagree with someone.

But has a very specific way of saying oh really or fascinating or thrilling and its all in the tone and intonation and the pause between saying it and the look she gives as to whether she actually agrees with you or not.

According to a 2018 YouGov survey, around 31 per cent of British people say they have seen or met the Queen in real life.

Shawn recalled his awkward encounter with the Queen

“I’m in this backstage area and I’m standing there waiting to go on stage and the Queen just walks up next to me,” he explained.

“And, you can’t say anything, you’re not allowed to speak to her unless she speaks to you first.

“So it was like 10 minutes of just awkward silence between me and the Queen.”
