THE Queen has opened up her ­private archives, revealing never-seen-before footage and newsreels for her Platinum Jubilee.

More than 400 hours of clips from her childhood, days leading up to the coronation, and family life were scoured for a BBC documentary.

Her Majesty will narrate Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen thanks to producers cleverly using clippings from 60 speeches she has delivered.

Footage will include the monarch on her first trip abroad to South Africa at the age of 20, having fun with her sister Princess Margaret and being with her grandmother Queen Mary.
