PRESIDENT Donald Trump hit back at Meghan Markle for suggesting Americans should vote for Joe Biden by saying he is “not a fan of hers” and wishing “a lot of luck” to her husband Prince Harry.

Trump made the jab at the American actress who married into the Royal Family when a reporter on Wednesday asked him to comment on Markle pushing support for Biden.

“And she probably has heard that but—I wish a lot of luck to Harry, ‘cause he’s gonna need it.”

The royal couple in a Time 100 video special earlier this week told American voters to “reject hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity.”

Markle said the 2020 presidential election is the “most important election of our lifetime,” seeming to imply that a leadership change is needed.

The Duchess of Sussex added that “when we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard,” and that, “your voice is a reminder that you matter, because you do and you deserve to be heard.”

Prince Harry said, “When the bad outweighs the good, for many, whether we realize it or not, it erodes our ability to have compassion and our ability to put ourself in someone else’s shoes.”

He continued: “When one person buys into negativity online, the effects are felt exponentially. It’s time to not only reflect, but act.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle suggested that Americans not vote for President Donald Trump

Trump’s jab at Markle and her husband came after Trump campaign senior adviser Cory Lewandowski said he wished they would leave the US.

“They made Britain great again by leaving. I hope they do the same for us,” Lewandowski told DailyMail.com.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex early this year announced they had decided to step back from their duties as senior royals and split time between Britain and North America.

Prince Harry has faced criticism for opining on the 2020 election because he is not eligible to vote in the US, and has acknowledged so.

Furthermore, he has not voted in his home country because royals are expected to stay neutral on politics.

Regarding the pair’s newest remarks on video, Buckingham Palace previously told HOAR: “We would not comment. The Duke is not a working member of the Royal Family and any comments he makes are made in a personal capacity.”

Markle’s attacks on Trump date back to the 2016 election cycle, when she called him “misogynistic and divisive” and voiced her support for then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
