Who is Koo Stark?

Kathleen Norris Koo Stark was born in New York City in 1956.

Her parents were both in showbiz and she followed in their footsteps embarking on an acting career after finishing school.

Her first film role was in the comedy All I Want Is You… and You… and You… (1974), produced by her father.

In 1975, she had an uncredited role as a bridesmaid in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Her best remembered performance is the lead role in the avant-garde film Emily in 1976, a part that would later come back to haunt her.

The following year she featured in scenes for the movie Star Wars that were later cut from the film.

She is now a photographer.

When did she meet Prince Andrew?

Prince Andrew was set up on a blind date with Star Wars actress Katherine”Koo” Stark in 1981.

He walked into my life and that was it: he was my life, The actress said in a 2015 interview.

American Koo and Andrew had a whirlwind romance.

He took her to meet his family at Balmoral and they were tipped to marry. But they split after 18 months when it emerged she had starred in an erotic art film called Emily in 1976.

However the relationship ended after a few years when topless photos surfaced of the actress, as well as a naked lesbian sex scene from Koo’s first film – the couple were hounded by press coverage and their relationship fell apart.

After breaking up with American actress Koo Stark, Andrew married Sarah Ferguson, daughter of Prince Charless polo manager Major Ron Ferguson, in 1986.

Where is she now?

Koo continues to live in London and is a member of the Chelsea Arts Club. She is a Patron of the Julia Margaret Cameron Trust.

She has one daughter, Titania with a former fianc. She was born in 1997.
