A FORD Granada previously owned by the Queen Mother could be yours for just 6,000.
The humble estate car was also regularly used to ferry Princess Diana and Prince Charles to royal functions.
The every day motors was leased by the Royal family in 1983, the year after it was produced by Ford.
The Ghia X model was regularly driven by the Queen Mum, covering 19,000 miles during its year service.
It was then returned to the automaker, who sold it an anonymous member of the Royal household.
The simple four-door is a far cry from the luxury Range Rovers and Aston Martins usually associated with the monarchy.
It has covered just 83,000 miles and been kept in immaculate condition, making it one of the most original Granadas left on the road.
The Royal vehicle boasts a blue body, chrome trim and a practical roof rack for carrying luggage.
It also features an original factory radio, manual sunroof and a 2.8-litre engine, which still works despite it sitting in a garage for the past two decades.
The Ford is expected to get plenty of interest when it goes under the hammer on December 14.
David Mathewson, auctioneer at Mathewson of Pickering, said: “We’ve got the car from a very reliable source and and know beyond doubt that it was used by the Queen Mother.
“That history has brought in a lot of interest on its own before the car’s condition is taken into account.
“It’s been very well looked after and has not had a hard life – unlike a lot of estate cars of that age which have been worked to death.
“A celebrity background can add around 10 per cent to the value of a car so we’re expecting a lot of interest come sale day.”
It’s not the first royal vehicle to get plenty of interest at auction.
A vintage Daimler Double Six saloon previously owned by The Queen recently sold for 80,000.
