CORONATION Street fans were heartbroken for poor Roy Cropper tonight when he found his long-lost brother dead on the floor.
Richard was discovered out cold on the floor in Tuesday’s shocking episode as paramedics tried and failed to save his life.
Roy was delighted to have discovered his secret brother thanks to a game of online Scrabble, but tonight saw him hit rock-bottom.
He went to see to a leaking freezer at the cafe after being assured by Richard that he would be fine – before the sickly sibling tumbled and fell to the floor.
Poor Roy came through the door singing: “Sorry – that took longer than intended” but then saw his brother out cold.
He gasped: “Richard… Richard!” before calling for an ambulance.

With Richard’s feisty goth teenage daughter Nina by his side, paramedics battled to save his life.
Roy told them: “I tried CPR. I did a first aid course.”
But their efforts came to nothing, with one of them telling the pair: “We’ve done all we can. I’m sorry.”
The episode ended with heartbreak etched across Roy’s face as he realised his brother would have been alive if it wasn’t for him – and that freezer.
Fans were heartbroken for kind-natured Roy, writing: “Poor Roy. Just got close to his brother and this happens.”
A second commented: “oh poor roy my heart breaks for him.”
Another said: “I’m really enjoying roy and his new found brother and niece Nina. It’s a shame this storyline will end sad, but I’m hoping Nina and Roy will have a great relationship #CoronationStreet.”
