Paramedics were able to find a pulse as they arrived at the bloody scene after abused wife Yasmeen stood over his body.

Cops arrested shaken Yasmeen who confessed she had attacked Geoff to the 999 caller.

However, viewers were up in arms at the treatment of Yasmeen by the case detective, who seemed hell bent on getting a confession out of her despite Yasmeen’s attempts to suggest she was acting in self-defence.

One furious fan tweeted: “Surely the police would know about Geoff’s past and pick up on Yasmeen saying that she just wanted it to stop?”

“My God if any woman is watching this and is in Yasmeen’s situation the last people you would contact is the police,” another viewer said. “Where did they get this female detective from, Rent a Cop. Her attitude absolutely stinks, it’s so WRONG. From a woman no less.”

“He’s very weak and a very slow pulse with a very dodgy ticker. I think we might need to prepare ourselves. Imagine a world without our Geoff.”
