CORONATION Street fans were over the moon to see former on-screen couple Rob Mallard and Katie McGlynn reunite on holiday in Amsterdam – alongside co-star Lisa George.

Katie played Sinead Osbourne, who was married to Rob’s character Daniel up until her tragic death from cervical cancer in 2019.

The pair were joined by Lisa George – who plays Beth Sutherland on the soap

Lisa played her auntie Beth Sutherland, so the trio often filmed together and clearly became great mates.

And showing just how close they still are they headed to Amsterdam for a minibreak, branding it ‘Tinkers on Tour’.

Sharing a series of pictures from the fun looking trip, Lisa wrote: “Loved spending time with these precious peeps and love them v much.

“We had a blast!!! The three musketeers in the Dam…. Fabulous memories which I will cherish .

“Love you @katiexmcglynn @rob.mallard thanks for the laughs ❤❤❤#amsterdam #amsterdamcity #canals #netherlands #redlightdistrict #tourists.”

Their followers were very excited to see them having such a blast, with one person writing: “Love this I miss Sinead ❤

A second added: “Ah back together”, and a third commented: “Isn’t it nice when your work mates become family.”

And while some fans were quick to question if they were in a relationship, Katie recently told HOAR she was very much on the market.

She said: “I’m so single and haven’t even got any dates lined up.

“I’d rather be on my own than be with someone who’s not right. But I am open to meeting someone — it’s just not happened yet.

After leaving Corrie, Katie went on to join the cast of Hollyoaks as character Becky Quentin, but has since moved on.

The controversial character was a complete contrast to sweet-natured Sinead Osbourne, who Katie played on Coronation Street for more than seven years.

Sinead’s tragic death from cervical cancer — just months after she gave birth to son Bertie — earned Katie the Best Serial Performance prize at the National Television Awards the following year.
